DJ Hype is one of the true originals a DJ, producer, label boss, and tastemaker who helped shape not just the sound, but the attitude of the culture. From pirate radio and sound clashes to dancefloor anthems, he’s always brought razor sharp skill, uncompromising energy, and a deep connection to the roots of what makes this music what is it is. For me personally, he was also the very first dj I ever saw in a rave all the way back at Dreamscape 12 so this is a very special episode for me and we go deep on music, family, life and everything in between

Its no exaggeration to say this is a DJ & MC duo who helped shape the sound and spirit of an entire culture and this conversation goes far beyond the usual history. We explore their foundations in pirate radio, the raw energy of early raves, their unique chemistry on stage, the dark side that came with jungle in terms of gangs and guns and what it really takes to build longevity in such a demanding scene. From discipline and personal growth to the evolution of Djing and MCing, this was a wicked conversation with two artists that truly deserve their legendary status
